みなさん、こんにちは！😄👍
本日は、剣は心なり（けんはこころなり）です。
「剣は人なり。心正しからざれば剣又正しからず。剣を学ばんと欲すれば、先づ心より学ぶべし。」らしいですが、一般には「剣は心なり。心正しからざれば剣又正しからず。剣を学ばんと欲すれば、先づ心を正すべし。」のほうがよく使われています。これは幕末の剣士　島田虎之助の言葉です。島田虎之助は九州豊前（大分県）の中津藩士で直心影流の男谷精一郎の弟子で浅草の新堀に道場を開いていました。兄弟弟子には榊原健吉がいます。また、虎之助の弟子には幕末に活躍した勝海舟が有名です。
素晴らしい教えであり言葉です。
私もこの教えこの言霊が大好きです。
素直な心、そして純粋な心で生きることが大事ということですね。

If you want to learn the sword, you should correct your sword." This is the word of Toranosuke Shimada, the swordsman at the end of the Edo period. Toranosuke Shimada was a disciple of Seiichiro Otani who was a Nakatsu clan samurai in Kyushu Buzen (Oita Prefecture) and opened a dojo in Shinbori, Asakusa. Kenkichi Sakakibara is one of his brothers and disciples. In addition, Katsu Kaishu, who was active at the end of the Edo period, is famous as a pupil of Toranosuke.
